Message from the CEO: Looking Back and Looking Ahead

As 2024 winds down, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has been an extraordinary year for South Carolina Federal. Our team has worked tirelessly to make a difference for our members and communities, and I am incredibly proud of what we've achieved together.

One highlight from this year includes being named a Glassdoor Best Place to Work for the sixth consecutive year, as well as a Best Place to Work in South Carolina by SC Biz News – our 12th time receiving this honor. These accolades reflect the strong culture we've built, where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their best every day.

This year, we expanded our footprint in the Upstate by opening our fourth location in the Greenville area. Our Five Forks Financial Center opened in February and we celebrated the opening with the community and local vendors.

Additionally, we launched a new website for the South Carolina Federal Credit Union Foundation to further our mission of giving back to the communities we serve. So far this year, our employees have logged over 3,245 volunteer hours and donated more than $156,000 to Foundation charities.

2024 has been packed with opportunities to serve our communities. Here's a snapshot of some of what we have been able to do:

• Participated in the Charleston Dragon Boat Festival
• Participated in the Ride to End ALZ South Carolina
• Participated in the Tails and Trails 5K benefiting Greenville County Animal Care
• Attended the International African American Museum Anniversary Jubilee Soirée
• Participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer's in Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, and Myrtle Beach
• Attended three Prisma Health Children's Hospital Diaper Distribution events
• Attended the Myrtle Beach Pelicans' annual Trick-or-Treat event
• Hosted five shred events statewide
• Awarded $45,000 to nine deserving students through our annual Scholarship Program
• Donated $5,000 each to seven veteran-focused organizations across South Carolina through this year's Perfect ₵ents Campaign

Forbes also recognized South Carolina Federal as one of the best credit unions in the state for the second consecutive year. This honor is a testament to the quality of service we strive to provide and the strong relationships we've built with our members.
