Employee Spotlight: John Stanford

For October's #EmployeeSpotlight, we are thrilled to feature John Stanford, Vice President of Lending at South Carolina Federal.

Here are a few fun facts about John:

• Despite being from Kentucky, John is a diehard Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He has a few game day rituals, including flying an Alabama flag, wearing the same shirt (unless the team loses), and watching the game with good friends.
• One of his favorite things about working at South Carolina Federal is that he gets to help members and work with a great team of people.
• John has already explored much of Europe, the Caribbean, and South America, but he still dreams of adventures in Chile and the Andes mountains. Snorkeling in Fiji is also on his bucket list!
• Fall is John's favorite time of year. He likes the cooler weather and enjoys celebrating Thanksgiving with family. After serving in the Navy for years, John is extremely grateful for the opportunity to spend holidays with loved ones.
• Outside of work, John loves to sing! He grew up singing in choir and church, and even performed in college musicals.

We're lucky to have John as part of Team Blue, and we appreciate the energy and passion he brings to everything he does!
