Employee Spotlight: Juan Guillermo

For this month's #EmployeeSpotlight, we are excited to feature Juan Guillermo, Technical Specialist at South Carolina Federal.

Here are a few interesting facts about Juan:

• Juan has been doing karate for over 20 years, and his practice has evolved from a workout to a way of life. The teachings from his favorite book, Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi, has significantly influenced his approach to karate.
• He treasures the company of his dog, Ares, and looks forward to taking him on long walks over the weekend. Despite being a stubborn boy, Ares is the best company he could ever ask for.
• Juan is a self-proclaimed coffee aficionado and enjoys pairing his beverage with delicious pastries. His current favorites are coffee cakes and chocolate croissants, perfect for satisfying his sweet tooth and coffee addiction.
• He is a big fan of electronic dance music (EDM) and attended Electric Zoo in New York in 2019. The event was filled with performances from early morning to nearly midnight, and Juan enjoyed eating large slices of pizza with friends from school and karate, creating life-long memories.
• The last show Juan binge-watched was Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He highly recommends it to anyone looking for a night full of laughs, and says this is one of the late Andre Braugher's last performances that is a must watch.
