Supporting Our Veterans One Swipe at a Time
South Carolina Federal Credit Union understands the importance of giving back to our communities. We actively sponsor various events and organizations across the state through our dedication to volunteering and donations.
In 2023, we launched our Perfect ¢ents campaign, focusing on Title I schools in the markets that we serve. On the heels of that success, this year, we are excited to support those who have served our country. We are proud to offer our members an opportunity to make an impact on veterans in their communities. Our veterans are the backbone of this country and we are honored to give a little to those who have given so much.
By simply using your South Carolina Federal credit or debit card online or in-store from September 1-20, we will donate two cents per transaction (up to $35,000) to seven veteran-focused nonprofit organizations across the state.
With your help, each of these organizations will receive $5,000:
- Alston Wilkes Society (Columbia)
- Beacon of Light Institute for Veterans (Florence)
- Friends of Fisher House Charleston
- Low Country Veterans Group (Georgetown)
- Special Operations Wounded Warriors (SOWW) (Myrtle Beach)
- Veteran's Last Patrol (Spartanburg)
- Vets Helping Vets (Greenville)
These organizations will use the funds in various ways, including delivering care packages for veterans on hospice care, supporting programs that pair veterans with service dogs, and basic needs such as clothing and food. Whether you are paying for dinner at your favorite eatery, filling up your gas tank, or purchasing school supplies, each swipe will help us move closer toward our goal of donating $35,000.
Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to stay up-to-date on our progress. We'll post weekly updates so you are able to see the difference your transactions are making in real time.
Join us in this meaningful effort to give back to those who have given so much. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of veterans in our community.
Every swipe counts!
