Friends & Family – it’s simple to qualify for membership.
It’s simple to qualify for membership at South Carolina Federal Credit Union. Everyone is welcome to apply for membership. And, if your immediate family or a member of your household is eligible to join South Carolina Federal, then you are eligible too – regardless of whether they are a member, even if you don’t live in South Carolina!
There are two convenient ways to establish membership:
- Apply for membership online. It takes about 10 minutes to open and fund your new account.
- Visit one of our 23 convenient locations.
You will need the following documents as you complete your online application*:
- A valid driver’s license.
- Previous home address (if you have lived at your home address for less than two years).
- U.S. Social Security Number or ITIN.
- U.S. checking account or credit/debit card to fund the account online, cash or check to fund the account at the branch. Amount of the initial deposit is at least $10 for a basic share savings or $35 for both savings and checking.
*You must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. resident alien.
