Current Members – it is simple to add an account.
It’s simple to add additional sub-accounts to your current member number, such as checking or money market account - or, if you prefer, you can open a whole new member number. There are three convenient ways:
- Add a new account online. It will take about 10 minutes to open and fund your new account.
- Call 843.797.8300 (Charleston) or 800.845.0432 (Nationwide) Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (sub-accounts only - no new member number via phone).
- Log in to iTeller and use Secure Chat during business hours (sub-accounts only - no new member number via Secure Chat).
- Visit one of our 23 convenient locations.
You will need the following documents as you complete your online application:

A valid driver’s license.
- Previous home address (if you have lived at your home address for less than two years).
- U.S. Social Security Number or ITIN.
- U.S. checking account or credit/debit card to fund the account online, cash or check to fund the account at the branch. Amount of the initial deposit is at least $10 for a basic share savings or $35 for both savings and checking.
