Direct Deposit

It's fast, secure and free

Most employers, as well as the federal government, will automatically deposit your paycheck or benefits check into your checking or savings account.  These automatic deposits are made electronically through the federal Automated Clearing House (ACH) system - at no cost to you - and are safe and secure.

Best of all, it's convenient

With direct deposit, your paycheck, government check, and/or tax return will be posted automatically to your South Carolina Federal Credit Union checking or saving account.  No more visiting the credit union just to make those deposits.

Getting set up

To have your employer or a government agency set up direct deposit you will need to provide them with these two number:

  1. South Carolina Federal's routing and transit number: 253278401.  You can find this number at the bottom of your Sout Carolina Federal checks.
  2. Your account number
If using your checking account:   Your checking account number is your member number with a three-digit suffix on the end.  You will find the checking account number, complete with the suffix, at the bottom center of one of your South Carolina Federal checks.

If using your savings account:   Your savings account number is your member number with the two-digit suffix "00" on the end, in place of the suffix used for your checking account.
